Health Care Assistant

Role Overview & Responsibilities

The ideal candidate must have at least 6 months experience and good knowledge of working with the elderly in a Care or Nursing home setting, or Hospital. He/she will be a person of integrity and good character.

Have a valid permit to work in the UK

Complete an Enhanced Access NI check

Be flexible, motivated and work on their own initiative

Must be NISCC registered

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Assisting with personal care and toileting, serving meals and assisting with feeding

Use of equipment (if trained) for the safe moving and handling of patients/residents

Assisting nurses and other staff when needed

Adhering to professional standards

Job Types: Part-time, Zero hours contract

Salary: £12.50-£27.00 per hour

Schedule:

• 12 hour shift
• Holidays
• Monday to Friday
• Night shift
• Weekend availability

Ability to commute/relocate:

• Belfast, County Antrim: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

Experience:

• Care Home: 1 year (required)

Shift availability:

• Day shift (required)
• Night shift (required)
• Overnight shift (required)
