Chocolate Team Member – Production (Chocolatier)

The Chocolatier is an independent, artisan chocolatier based in south Bedfordshire who is proud of our creative approach and outstanding quality products. We are looking to grow our small team of passionate, fun loving, experimental Chocolatiers.

No two weeks are the same here – we produce for The Chocolatier, Boutique businesses and National and International stores. Delivering and developing exquisite chocolate confectionary and bespoke projects.

You don’t need to have loads of chocolate experience, but you do need to have a desire to learn and get stuck in! So if you have a passion for chocolate, are friendly and positive and have a drive to be part of a truly special company – read on.

Job Description:

Manufacture of various chocolate products to an exceptional standard. Example products/techniques you will have or learn:

• Chocolate Tempering
• Shelling/molding
• Ganache production
• Decoration using a variety of techniques
• Chocolate Bars
• Drinking Chocolates

Packaging of finished items

Documenting processes and conforming to company and legal requirements

Maintaining upkeep of records

Upkeep of inventory to support with stock levels and ordering

Maintaining high standards of cleanliness in the Chocolate Factory and surrounds

Adapting to the needs of the business as required

Support acceptance of deliveries and collections

Some light Warehouse activity may be required to support colleagues

Person Specifications:

Chocolate experience is not necessary but knowledge and understanding of food environments and standards is advantageous

Keen to assimilate chocolate knowledge

Ability to prioritise tasks and production

Attention to detail

Self motivated

Team worker

Record keeping

High Standards of health, hygiene, and cleanliness

Good Standard of English

Interested in understanding and developing new and innovative flavours and products

Location: Sandy, Bedfordshire. UK

Hours: 9-5pm Mon-Fri – This can be a full or part time role and we are happy to consider the hours/schedule that will work best for you

Salary: £20,000.00-£26,000.00 per year
