Process Technician Apprentice M/F/D

Position Context:

As a Science Manufacturing (Process) Technician Apprentice you will be working in a busy control room environment with a highly experienced team of Process Operators.
You will be employed directly by Chemoxy International Ltd under a maximum 36-month apprenticeship agreement, following the Science Manufacturing Technician Apprenticeship Standard.

Main tasks :

Your training plan will include a mixture of internal and external training, and will include a L3 Diploma in Process Technology qualification. You will also be mentored by a senior member of the team.
You can expect to:
  • Independently and within a team start-up, operate and shut-down a manufacturing batch or continuous process in line with Standard Operating Procedures
  • Monitor process conditions, equipment and control systems
  • Use troubleshooting skills to resolve process related deviations and problems
  • Perform process equipment troubleshooting, minor repairs, improvements and maintenance
  • Have outstanding approach to personal safety as well as the safety of others

Required skills :

You will have a great aptitude for learning - this is a role where you will need to get involved! You’ll work hard, but will have fun doing so. We welcome new team members who bring fresh thinking but who are also ready to roll up their sleeves and get “stuck in”. You will need to be confident, articulate and have very good communication and interpersonal skills.
Requirements:
  • Must have a minimum of 5 GCSE’s Grade 4 or above including Maths, English and Science
  • Must be eligible to work in the UK
  • Excellent IT skills with experience of Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Enjoys practical and hands-on approach to work
