LIGHTING DESIGN ENGINEER / ASSISTANT DESIGN ENGINEER

Pathway Lighting (UK) Ltd is an independent lighting and electrical design consultancy specialising in all aspects of exterior lighting and electrical design.

We currently have a vacancy for a Lighting Design Engineer or an Assistant Lighting Design Engineer to join our expanding design team.

This role involves the design of lighting and electrical layouts. Duties will include site visits, surveys and specifications; you will carry out assessments of existing lighting projects and design new improved lighting and electrical schemes. Other duties will involve working closely with the other members of the design team to manage works programmes from feasibility designs through to detailed design for HA networks including site supervision.

The following skills are desirable:

• Membership of the Institution of Lighting Professionals (ILP).
• ILP Diploma or working towards ILP Diploma.
• HNC in Electrical Engineering or equivalent in a relevant street lighting design related discipline.
• Experience in the design and maintenance of street lighting infrastructure.
• Working within a highway, street lighting environment.
• Experience of computerised design / CAD software packages.
• Experience of Lighting Reality and Electrical cable sizing software packages.
• Team orientated.
• A current valid driving licence.
• Maybe required to work outside normal hours.

Training will be provided where needed to fill any recognised skill gaps.
