About the role

As a Cyber Security & IA Graduate, you will provide both technical and information assurance expertise for our Cyber team. Throughout the 2-year programme you will be exposed to multiple areas of Cyber Security and Information Assurance such as Operational Technology , Risk Management and Security Architectures .

You will be placed on exciting projects that will test you on your IA skills, building up your knowledge on different Cyber Security frameworks, such as NIST, ISO and the GDPR. Secure by Design is a baseline for all future projects, so you will have a chance to reinforce your cyber security abilities along the way and learn how to interact with clients that have varied knowledge on the topic.

What is the Graduate Programme?

• As a BMT graduate, you will be part of an exciting 2-year development programme that will equip you with the knowledge, skills and experience that you will need to propel your career to the next level. You will be paired with a mentor who will support your development within BMT and you will receive a tailored training programme.
• BMT partners and have close relationships with many of the professional institutions so if Chartership is a route that you are interested in, we will support you by paying the membership fees for your chosen institution and you will receive a chartership mentor who will help support you with your application.

About you

We are looking for graduates who have the following.

• A relevant (ideally NCSC-certified) Cyber-related degree such as Computer Science (Information Security), Cyber Security, Computer Science and Forensics.
• An interest and enthusiasm to work within this specialist domain.
• Passionate about technology and cyber security.
• Dedicated to providing a first-class service to our clients and the determination to further their career and gain Chartered status.
• Excellent analytic and investigative abilities with a demonstrated creative approach to problem solving.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Sole UK nationality.

The following experience is desirable and not essential.

• An understanding of threat analytics, risks and the controls that our customers need to consider in order to manage them.
• Knowledge of the TCP/IP, and common networking protocols.
• Enthusiasm for innovation, experimentation, and self-development in the cyber security field.
• The ability and desire to develop and grow an emerging cyber specialism within a leading technology consultancy.
