Window and Doors Fitter/Engineer
Salary: £23,000 - £28,000 per annum (depending on experience)
An exciting opportunity to work for an established family-run Window and Doors Maintenance company. This position is a perfect opportunity to earn whilst you train in a reputable business that has been trading for 40+ years.
Ideally we are looking for someone who is interested in making this their career and grow with us as the business organically grows. Full training will be provided.
We carry out repairs, maintenance and replacement of windows and doors for private and council properties in and around London.
Transport to and from London provided, however, must be able to get to Eaton Bray/Dunstable for pick up and drop off.
Working hours can vary from day to day, as the work varies. Some days we finish earlier or later than typical.
Typical day will be 7am - 4pm.
Pay is on a weekly basis.
What you can expect be getting up to;
- Changing double glazed units
- Changing hinges, handles and locks
- Ease and adjust of tilt and turn windows
- Replacement of new window units
- Changing of sash cord and weight to timber windows
- Installing new timber box sash windows
- Repairs to UPVC, steel and aluminum windows and doors
- Timber repairs and filling
- Decorations and retouching disturbed work where necessary
- Confident in dealing with customers where needed
Skills we are looking for;
- Previous experience repairing windows on doors would be beneficial, not essential
- Previous experience working on-site or in residential properties
- Confident using power tools e.g. drill, impact driver, grinders (essential)
- Willingness to learn and develop a career
- Good timekeeping, trustworthy and reliable
- Good ability to write and speak in English
- Clean driving license is preferred
We are looking to do a 3 month trial-period on a temporary basis before confirming permanent employment.
