Elementa are recruiting for a Teacher of Art for a popular secondary school in the Mangotsfield area of Bristol, for a September 2026 start.
You will be joining a lively, fun and dynamic department, where your creativity and passion for the subject are encouraged to shine. The department is responsible for Art and Design, Fine Art and photography, which sees an increasing number of students sign up each year.
Your role will be to support and challenge students to reach their full potential within the subject and to increase their confidence and knowledge, to help achieve success within the subject.
You will need to be creative, innovative and tactile with your approach. Experience of teaching art, as well as graphics and photography would be ideal and you should be proficient in IT, and have a working understanding of Photoshop and ideally Illustrator.
Responsibilities to include:
- Teaching across Key Stages 3&4
- Maintaining up-to-date subject knowledge
- Lesson planning and delivery of engaging and inspiring lessons
- Assessments and statutory reporting requirements for parents and carers

An Enhanced DBS Disclosure application is required for this role unless you have a current DBS on the update service. A clear DBS certificate is highly desirable however a positive DBS certificate is not an absolute barrier to being considered.
This a permanent role, however the school do reserve the right to employ on a 12 week trial period.
