Job Description

Permanent Full Time 40 hours - working a roster pattern of 3 days on 3 days off (consisting of early shifts starting from 0300 / 0400hrs and afternoon shifts starting anytime from 1100hrs

This is a customer facing role in which you will be required;

To carry out full and effective searches of baggage and airport supplies
To carry out full and effective searches of people
To carry out full and effective searches of vehicles
Undertake patrols of the airport terminal & grounds
To control access into restricted areas of the Airport
Check identification or travel documents for all passengers, staff and airport users requiring access to restricted areas
Deal with on-site security incidents with the team
Operate the x-ray equipment to screen all luggage for both the cabin and hold including other items being carried into restricted areas
Provide excellent customer service to all passengers travelling through the airport
Help with other departments at the airport if/when required

Applicant competencies required are:

Fluent English language capability, both written and spoken;
Excellent Interpersonal and customer service awareness and skills;
Attention to detail
Smart appearance;
Punctuality;

Applicant Criteria:-

Full five year checkable work history. Full details and dates of all periods of employment/unemployment/education must be given on the application form for the past 5 years.

Must have valid Passport/Drivers License.

Must be resident in the UK for a minimum of 5 years to obtain government clearance

**Please note all vacancies include weekends and unsociable hours and include a full training programme**
