ORDER PROCESSOR / DESPATCHER

JOB DESCRIPTION

We are looking for someone to join our busy warehouse team. You will be responsible for ensuring efficient despatch of orders, this will include fabric sample orders as well as main orders that are received from our website and marketplaces. You will play an important role in ensuring our customers' expectations are met and that we maintain a high level of service and quick despatch.

Working within our warehouse, your key responsibilities will include:

• Creating daily picklists using our modern warehouse management system
• Ensuring all samples and main orders are picked, labelled and packaged ready to despatch
• Replenishment of samples when stock levels are low and ensuring all new fabrics listed have samples available in location
• Despatching of orders in the most efficient, cost-effective method
• Maintaining a clean and tidy work environment
• Our warehouse is also open to the general public so there will be an element of face to face customer service required, assisting with enquiries and handling payments.

Requirements:

• You will be on your feet for a large part of the day so you will be comfortable with this, there may also be need to handle large, heavier items such as fabric rolls (although help will be on hand for this)
• Confident in using computers and stock management systems
• You will be able to work independently using your own initiative to get the days work done
• Good attention to detail - you will be dealing with a high volume of orders daily
• A flexible approach, at times you may be asked to help with other tasks - we are a small but busy team!
• A positive, can-do attitude
• Please note that due to our location own transport / reliable transportation is essential

Desirable:

• An interest in fabrics and soft furnishings
• Experience in using social media

Working hours / Salary:

Full-time, between the hours of 9am - 5pm Monday to Friday.

Salary meets minimum wage with expectation this will be reviewed after 3 months employment.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: £7.49-£10.42 per hour
