Job Description

Unitrunk a leading manufacturer of steel cable management systems are currently recruiting for a Driver to join our new distribution depot in Croydon

Job purpose:

The role is mainly delivery of product to customers driving a 7.5 tonne lorry, however the successful candidate must be prepared to cover warehouse duties as and when required

Main duties and responsibilities:

· Make scheduled deliveries to customers as per agreed schedule

· Drive safely and follow all laws and rules of driving

· Keep company vehicle clean and ensure that all required checks are made in accordance with company rules and regulations

· Provide a polite and efficient to service to customers

· Maintain communication with management ensuring that they are kept aware of any incidents or issues which occur on the road or at customer premises.

· Provide holiday/absence cover within warehouse

Keys skills and attributes:

Essential :

· Conscientious, punctual and reliable

  • Ability to work well under pressure
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Must be flexible this role will at times require working in warehouse
  • Self-motivated
  • Full UK driving licence class C1
  • CPC
  • Digital Tacho card
  • Ability to carry out manual handling duties
  • Excellent customer service skills

Desirable

· Previous experience of working in warehouse environment

  • Previous experience of multi drop deliveries
  • Basic computer skills
  • Counterbalance forklift certificate

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: £14.00-£14.50 per hour

Experience:

  • Commercial driving: 2 years (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

  • CPC licence (preferred)
