An experienced cleaning manager, with previous experience in retail or commercial cleaning, you will have a background of managing multiple sites and operatives. You will have strong financial acumen and a commercial outlook, be used to providing exceptional service and be ready to adapt to customer's changing requirements.
Principal Responsibilities
- As a department head you will need exceptional people management skills to be able to lead, motivate and develop your team
- Day to day you will be ensuring full coverage of cleaning operatives and supervisors, making sure the operation runs smoothly (including rotas, staffing levels and recruitment)
- You will conduct audits and order equipment and supplies
- You will also be responsible for sign off of weekly timesheets
- You will manage the general cleaning of the site (as well as specific departmental requirements and other ad hoc duties); this is a hands-on role so part of your day may need to be spent cleaning/ training staff
- Due to the size of the site and number of areas, you will need to have excellent time management skills coupled with the ability to prioritise and converse at all levels
- You will be carrying out performance and quality audits, producing regular reports and be up to date with current H & S legislation
- Policies and procedures should be under constant review and amended/adapted/new policies should be created where necessary
- You may need to have a full UK driving lisence

You will report directly to the Operations/Duty Manager

Bank Holiday and weekend working may be required, including unsociable hours.
