5 full time, parament position required, previous experience working with people with LD is essential.

REPORTING TO: Lead Support Worker and Registered Manager
JOB HOURS - shifts based (including weekends)
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES - not exhaustive
- Support provision and Promotion of Quality Support
- Reviewing progress with service user (SU) in conjunction with the principals of RVH
- Act in accordance with Ridge View Homes (RVH) policies and procedures also in line with all legal requirements; standards of support that comply to the values of RVH
- To provide personal support and support to SU with a wide range of needs, illnesses and disabilities
- To undertake the tasks detailed in the SU support plan (care plans, activity plans etc..) using a person-centred approach and in the least intrusive way
- To encourage the independence and motivation of the SU and not foster dependent behaviour
- To give personal care and support with everyday tasks
- Accompany the SU on trips into the community
- To assist the SU to manage their personal affairs
- To ensure as safe as possible the living environment for the SU, whilst respecting the SU’s choice and rights
- To maintain detailed and accurate records on the Support Management System in respect of Support in a timely manner and medication support given and tasks undertaken accordingly
- To ensure the correct use of RVH GDPR Controlled Drug Book, GDPR Visitors Book to protect SU’s personal data
- To recognise the signs of abuse and immediately report abuse or suspected abuse to the Lead Support or Registered Manager
- To seek out best practice and look at innovative ways to improve the quality and efficiency of service delivery
- To attend and participate in regular team meetings, any other relevant meetings, in-house or external trainings
- To observe all health & safety rules and take reasonable Support to promote health and safety of self and others and raise any concerns to the Senior Management team
